This is the one-inch member of the vinyl rectangle line, built for a low, even lift rather than a tall prop. Slide it under the small of the back to take pressure off the spine, or set it under a wrist or an ankle to raise a joint just off the table. Because the foam and vinyl carry no metal, it is verified MR Safe and goes into the MRI suite with the patient.
The vinyl also carries over to X-ray and CT, though the sewn seams can show on an X-ray. For a taller lift at the same footprint, the 6 by 4 by 2 sponge doubles the thickness. And for a version that stays fully clear on an X-ray, the closed-cell rectangle sponge gives the same size as non-coated foam.

Skip harsh solvents, which shorten the life of the vinyl, and store the sponge flat with the rest of your positioning sponges so it keeps its edges.
